Privacy Policy

How Rich Direction, LLC handles information on richdirection.com.

Identity and scope

This Policy applies to Rich Direction, LLC’s operation of richdirection.com, its general-purpose financial calculators, free resources, digital products, email communications, audience measurement, and related support. Rich Direction is formed in Michigan and initially serves a United States adult audience.

Privacy contact: privacy@richdirection.com.

Information handled

Information you provide

Free-resource requests require an email address and may include an optional first name, the requested resource, source page, campaign labels, delivery status, and marketing choice. Support and privacy requests contain the information included by the sender. User accounts and paid checkout are inactive.

For a licensed resource request, Rich Direction may record the requester’s affirmative age-of-majority acknowledgment and the versions of the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Free Resource License, and acknowledgment wording presented with that request. Rich Direction does not request a date of birth.

Information generated automatically

The implemented download endpoint temporarily uses a hashed combination of email and network address for abuse-rate controls. WordPress and Namecheap EasyWP may generate ordinary request, device/browser, referring-page, IP-address, error, and security logs. The site’s first-party consent control stores a consent choice and date on the user’s device. If persistent browser storage is unavailable, the privacy interface may use temporary session storage or in-memory state to apply the user’s choice during the current browser session. Optional calculator memory stores user-entered values only on that device.

If a visitor affirmatively enables Analytics, the site loads Google Analytics 4 and may send page URL and title, referring information, approximate geography, browser and device information, session statistics, page views, scroll activity, outbound-link activity, file-download activity, site-search activity, video engagement, form-interaction metadata, and limited Rich Direction event labels. Google may process network information, including an IP address, to provide the service and derive approximate location. Rich Direction does not receive raw IP addresses in Analytics reports.

The Analytics implementation does not send names, email addresses, download tokens, calculator entries, form-field contents, payment information, Social Security numbers, bank information, or a Rich Direction user ID. Email-pattern redaction and selected URL query-parameter redaction are enabled in the Google Analytics web stream as additional safeguards.

Calculator information

Calculator entries generate estimates in the browser. Rich Direction does not intentionally associate calculator inputs with an email identity. Values are not included in contact records, are not sent through the download request, and are not sent to Brevo, Google Analytics, or advertising systems. “Remember my entries on this device” is optional and off by default. Saved entries remain in that browser’s local storage until the user clears them, disables memory, or clears browser data.

Purposes

Information may be used to deliver and recover requested resources; provide receipts and support; maintain product, acknowledgment, and consent records; correct material product errors; send marketing after affirmative consent; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain site security; respond to requests; meet applicable legal, accounting, or recordkeeping obligations; improve products; and, only after Analytics consent, understand aggregate traffic, acquisition, page use, engagement, and resource interactions. Paid checkout and advertising remain inactive.

Transactional and promotional email

Transactional messages include requested-resource delivery, download recovery, support, essential product corrections, and security notices. Promotional messages include campaigns, launches, educational marketing, recommendations, and upgrade offers. Users may withdraw promotional consent without losing eligibility for appropriate fulfillment, support, security, or essential product messages. A later unchecked download form does not silently revoke or reactivate an earlier marketing choice.

Cookies, local storage, analytics, and advertising

Strictly necessary storage supports privacy choices and core operation. Functional storage supports optional remembered calculator entries. Google Analytics 4 is an optional Analytics technology. The Google tag is blocked and no information is sent to Google Analytics unless the visitor affirmatively accepts Analytics. Marketing consent does not enable Analytics or advertising technologies. Users may change choices through Cookie Settings.

When Analytics is accepted, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish pseudonymous visitors and maintain session state. Rich Direction disables Google signals and advertising-personalization signals in the site implementation. Advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalization, and personalization storage remain denied. Withdrawing Analytics consent disables further collection through the Rich Direction implementation and attempts to remove its Analytics cookies from the current browser.

No advertising integration is currently active, and Rich Direction does not currently send website or calculator information to advertising providers for personalized or targeted advertising. Global Privacy Control keeps advertising off by default when detected. Before advertising technology is activated, this Policy, the Cookie Notice, consent controls, provider disclosures, and any required privacy-choice mechanisms will be updated.

Service-provider categories

Brevo and Google Analytics do not receive calculator entries from the Rich Direction implementation. Marketing campaigns remain inactive, and a free-resource recipient is not a marketing subscriber without affirmative consent.

Google describes how it uses information from sites or apps that use its services at Google’s business-data information page. Google Analytics is governed by Google’s service terms, data-processing terms, and privacy practices.

Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

Rich Direction does not use Google Analytics for remarketing, personalized advertising, or targeted advertising in this release. Privacy rights and business obligations vary by jurisdiction and may depend on factors including residency, business activity, and applicable statutory thresholds. Rich Direction provides the request methods described in this Policy and will update its notices and procedures when additional legal requirements apply.

Retention and security

Free-resource contacts without active marketing consent are deleted or anonymized 24 months after their last recorded activity. Marketing-consented contacts are retained while consent remains active, subject to periodic inactivity review. Consent and acknowledgment evidence is retained while the relationship remains active and for three years after withdrawal or deletion. Only information reasonably necessary to document status, versions, wording, date, source, withdrawal, re-consent, and suppression is retained.

Minimal unsubscribe and suppression information is retained while Rich Direction conducts email marketing so an opt-out is not mailed again. Delivery-attempt and security logs are retained for 12 months. Support correspondence is retained for 24 months after a matter closes. Backup deletion may lag primary-system deletion according to the approved backup cycle.

Rich Direction uses the shortest standard Google Analytics property retention option available for user-level and event-level data. Google explains that this setting does not remove data from standard aggregated reports in the same manner. Google Analytics cookies have default expiration periods of up to two years, subject to browser restrictions and earlier removal when Analytics consent is withdrawn or browser data is cleared.

The implementation minimizes free-form data, separates calculator values from contacts, hashes download tokens, redacts selected Analytics URL parameters, applies role checks to contact administration, and encrypts private resources. No system can be guaranteed secure.

Choices and privacy requests

Users can reject Analytics, withdraw Analytics consent through Cookie Settings, unsubscribe from promotional email, revise functional-storage preferences, clear locally saved calculator entries, and request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of supported contact records. Advertising-choice controls will be updated before advertising is activated when required. Requests should be sent to privacy@richdirection.com.

Rich Direction aims to acknowledge a supported privacy request within 10 business days and ordinarily respond within 45 days. Additional time may be used where reasonably necessary or permitted by law. Rich Direction may verify the requester’s identity and authority before acting. An authorized agent may be required to provide written authority and the requester may be asked to verify identity directly.

Deletion and similar requests are subject to lawful exceptions. Rich Direction may retain information reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, consent evidence, suppression records, transaction or delivery records, backups, and the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Rich Direction will explain a denial or limitation where required by applicable law.

Children and international users

Rich Direction operates a general-audience website intended primarily for adults in the United States. The website is not directed to children under 13, and Rich Direction does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Children under 13 should not submit contact or support forms, request downloadable resources, or otherwise provide personal information through the website. If Rich Direction learns that it has collected personal information from a child under 13, it will take reasonable steps to delete the information. A parent or guardian may contact privacy@richdirection.com regarding such information.

General educational pages and calculators may be viewed without providing an age or date of birth. Requesting a licensed downloadable resource or making a purchase requires the requester to be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in the requester’s jurisdiction. Rich Direction does not collect a date of birth for this purpose but may record the requester’s age-of-majority acknowledgment and the applicable policy, license, and wording versions.

The website is operated from the United States and does not intentionally target users outside the United States. No GDPR, United Kingdom, Canadian, or other international compliance representation is made. International expansion will require a separate assessment.

Changes and contact

Changes will be posted with the applicable document version and dates. Consent and acknowledgment evidence retains the versions presented with the request. Contact Rich Direction about privacy at privacy@richdirection.com. Rich Direction, LLC is located in Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA.
